Hugh joined Sports in February 2023 after recently playing at Bedford Town. His early career began at Peterborough United, but he moved to Spain for three years after his release.

In Spain he played for Lorca, Hercules B and CD Llanes, before returning to the UK and joining Bedford Town. Hugh is a good all-round midfielder who can defend well when called upon and also likes to get in on the goal act when he can. After featuring in the last few games of the 2022/23 season, Alban-Jones cemented his place within the XI and contributed further to the squad throughout the 2023/24 Season.

Hugh Alban-Jones is confirmed and signed for the 2024/25 Season.
