Peterborough Sports welcome Southport to PIMS Park in the Enterprise National League North on Saturday afternoon (3pm).
The Turbines return to PE1 having hosted South Shields last weekend at PIMS Park, where they suffered a 3-0 defeat against the league leaders.
Peterborough Sports dropped into the relegation following last weekend’s result, and are now two points adrift of Oxford City.
Southport sit 17th in the table on 39 points, six points more than the Turbines, and most recently won 2-1 away at Radcliffe.
Whilst the visitors are on a four match unbeaten run, it was the Turbines who won the reverse fixture back in October 3-2 with Sam Straughan-Brown netting a 97th minute winner having come from 2-1 down.
Michael Gash will make a return to the dugout for the fixture having replaced Phil Brown as manager during the week, with Brown taking on the role as director of football.
Team News
Ben Beresford remains sidelined with a hip injury whilst Mustapha Carayol returned to the squad last weekend having missed the previous match against Bedford Town. Luca Miller is the club’s top scorer this season with 11 goals in the league this season including netting the Turbines’ second goal against Southport in October.
Southport have recently signed Everton Under 21 goalkeeper George Pickford on loan until the end of the season.

We’ve got to play a lot of teams in and around us, so we need to being looking at these games knowing we need to take points off of them if we want to be successful and stay in this league.
