The Turbines travel the short distance to face Bedford Town on Tuesday evening (7.45pm) for their latest Enterprise National League North match. 

Phil Brown’s side narrowly lost 2-1 against play-off hopefuls Radcliffe last weekend, with Luca Miller on the scoresheet once again for the Turbines. The Turbines sit 20th in the table; two points clear of the relegation zone. 

Hosts, Bedford Town, won their weekend fixture 2-0 against Chorley to move two places and three points above the Turbines. 

The Turbines won the reverse fixture 3-1 at PIMS Park back in November, with Sam Straughan-Brown opening the deadlock before a brace from Luca Miller secured the points.

Dan Jarvis appeared off the bench in the second half of last weekend’s defeat to Radcliffe, marking his return to action after sustaining an injury in the draw at King’s Lynn Town on Boxing Day. Goalkeeper Peter Crook is doubtful having sustained in injury in training last week; leaving Sam Edwards and new loan signing Harley Price to battle out for a place in between the sticks. Forward Shaun Jeffers is ineligible to play against his parent club. 

The Eagles have deadly forward Tyrone Marsh in their squad who has netted 22 goals in 33 appearances in the league so far this season. They have also confirmed the re-signing of Nathan Ashmore on loan from Boreham Wood.

Phil Brown spoke ahead of the game: “We’ve got to learn from the experience from the weekend. We’re up against it in terms of the games but Peterborough Sports are alive and kicking. It’s a six-pointer there’s no doubt about that. But we will be prepared and have the squad ready to play to the best of our ability. It’s not far to travel either.”
